Peter Irish is a multimedia artist active in the visual, performance, sound and healing arts.
As a performance artist, Peter was 5 time world champion of the game of Hacky Sack, recieving the Award of Innovation in Juggling for creating his own juggling style and being the first human to juggle 3 balls with both the hands and the feet simultaneously. Peter was the first American in history to perform circus arts in the south pacific, working with the national circus of Samoa.
As a visual artist, Peter’s work in collage, painting and multimedia explores the merging of the realms of the subconscious, dreams, meditative states, the irrational and illogical, with mundane life, comedy, tragedy, and the state of the current world and society. His unique perspective combines elements that logically should not fit together but somehow do, creating delightful, surprising scenerios.
Peter is a frequent collaborator with European/Norwegian underground artists and musicians producing album covers and artworks for books.
Peter has produced a book of original heiroglyphic language, created an original tarot deck, is working on a book of Japanese style Enso paintings and original Haiku, all forthcoming.
His art resides in several private collections in the US, Canada and Europe.
